He holds a M.D. from the University of Panama Medical School and finished fellowships in EEG/Epilepsy and Sleep Medicine at the Mayo clinic in Rochester. In addition, she underwent hands on training in functional imaging procedures and analysis. She is currently serving as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of Sleep Medicine as well as mentoring PhD Students at a major university.

This expert has extensive experience in pulmonary, sleep, and critical care medicine. He received his BA from Middlebury College before earning his MD from Columbia University. He then also completed a medical Spanish program through the AEC Spanish Institute in Costa Rica and a clinical research education program through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed an internship and residency in the department of medicine and a fellowship in the pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine division at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He spent one year of his fellowship as the chief fellow and spent an additional year in the program specializing as a sleep fellow.
