She then completed an MS in forensic toxicology at the University of Florida. She is board certified and a fellow in forensic toxicology by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology, a certified toxicological chemist by the National Registry of Certified Chemists, and a licensed clinical laboratory director in the state of Florida. She is very active in her field as a member of several professional societies including the Society of Forensic Toxicologist, the American Academy of Forensic Science, and the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists. In addition, this expert has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles. Formerly, this expert was a toxicologist level II and III for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Department.
