He earned his BS in nursing from South Dakota State University before completing his certification in nurse anesthesia at Mayo Medical Center. He later earned his MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a licensed registered nurse and a licensed advanced registered nurse practitioner. This expert is very active in his field as a member of several professional societies including the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Iowa Association of Nurse Anesthetists. In addition, this expert has been invited to give clinical lectures on over 50 occasions. Formerly, this expert held several roles throughout his career including as a registered nurse in the ICU at Saint Mary’s Hospital before he became certified in nurse anesthesia. He then became a staff CRNA at Mayo Medical Center- St. Mary’s Hospital, Veterans Memorial Hospital, and Decatur County Hospital. He was also the former director of CRNAs at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Iowa. This expert is currently the president and co-owner at an anesthesia services company in Iowa.
