This expert has 25+ years of law enforcement experience, for the vast majority of which he served as a fire investigator for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. A certified fire investigator with both the ATF and the International Association of Arson Investigators, he has consulted for police forces in countries such as Colombia and Latvia on arson investigation practices. Since 2014, he has operated an independent fire investigation consultancy.

He earned his B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of New York. The expert began his career with fire protection and alarm system companies before becoming a Consulting Engineer with Lehr Associates, where he prepared code reviews. From 2000 until 2009, the expert was the Director of the New York office of Hughes Associates and was responsible for preparing detailed code analysis reports. He now runs his own consulting business and is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.

This qualified expert has over 35 years of experience in fire and explosion investigation. He earned his BS in justice studies at Arizona State University. He also completed a fire pattern certificate course through the Public Agency Training Council. He is certified as a fire and explosion investigator, a vehicle fire investigator, a fire investigator, and a fire investigation instructor. He is active in his field as a member of the Arizona Burn Foundation. He has also authored numerous publications, led several fire investigation seminars, and appeared in TV interviews discussing fire investigation. This expert is currently the owner of a fire investigation company in Arizona.

This highly-qualified expert has over 40 years of experience as a firefighter, specializing in fire origin and cause investigations. Throughout his career, he has completed numerous fire safety training programs and completed fire investigation certificate programs through institutions such as the California State Fire Marshal's Office, the State of California, and the University of Washington. He is active in his field as a member of several associations, including the International Association of Arson Investigators, the National Association of Fire Investigators, and the International Association of Fire Investigators. He has formerly served as a firefighter with the United States Air Force and the Sacramento Fire Department. During his time with the Sacramento Fire Department, he also held the roles of fire investigator and fire captain. Currently, this expert is the owner of a private fire origin and cause investigation company in California.
